About the society

A registered welfare society formed in Hoshiarpur in 2023, working on one thing: making sure money is never the reason a child stops going to school.

Our roots

Founded by seven, answerable to the community

The society was formed in Hoshiarpur in 2023 by seven members of the Rajput community who had each, separately, been helping families pay school costs. Registering as a society made that help accountable, repeatable and open to anyone who wants to join in.

Members are spread between Punjab and abroad, which is where the “world wide” in our name comes from — support raised overseas, spent on students here.

What we set out to do

Lift the barriers that stop underprivileged children from finishing school — fees, uniforms, materials and the confidence gap that comes with going without them.

What we are working towards

A district where a family’s income does not decide how far a child gets in school, and where the students we help go on to help others.

These are the objectives the society was registered against, and what we measure ourselves by.

Education for all

No child should be denied an education because of money. We offer scholarships, learning materials and mentorship so a student’s potential is not capped by their circumstances.

Promoting equality

Practical steps that level the ground — school uniforms being the clearest example. A child in the same uniform as everyone else starts the day on equal terms.
